The Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC), America’s oldest conservation, education and recreation organization, is now searching for a Deli/Prep Cook! This active, frontline position supports the kitchen and dining room staff by preparing fresh foods for service and cooking. In our made-from-scratch kitchen, the Deli/Prep Cook is essential to the efficiency of the kitchen as many of our ingredients require washing, cutting and organization. Additionally, the Deli/Prep Cook contributes to the overall cleanliness, presentation and friendliness of the Greenery, our food service hub.
The role of Deli/Prep Cook is a full-time, seasonal, non-exempt, hourly position that is available all seasons. The standard work schedule is eight to nine hours per day, five days per week, averaging 40 hours per week. Days off vary each week based on business levels, but we try to schedule two days off in a row so you can get outdoors and enjoy the area.
