Job Description

We’re looking for counselors to help lead our Outdoor Adventure program this summer. This position is for someone who will love living in a bunk with campers; will enjoy honing their general education skills in aquatics and wildlife sciences; loves hands on teaching on our 100 acres in the Pocono Mountains; will unselfishly dedicate time to helping campers learn about Weequahic’s natural resources; and will enjoy living and working in a residential camp community.

Our outdoor adventure program includes areas such as archery, natural history, nature, outdoor living skills, outdoor cooking, high/low ropes, zipline, 40’ climbing wall, trapping, fishing. We are actively seeking individuals to teach in all of these areas. Candidates can also fulfill internship requirements by working at camp this summer.

Ideal candidates:

*Have completed one year of college (preferred, not required).
*Have experience in aquatics, natural sciences, ropes/rock climbing, trapping, fishing, etc.
*Enjoy working with and around children.
*Communicate well with others; work in a team setting.
*Exhibit strong leadership skills.
*Are self-motivated and enjoy motivating others.
*Have problem solving skills.
*Can pass an extensive background check and be cleared to work with and around children.

*Collaborating and cooperate with all staff to help create the experience of a lifetime for our campers.
