Other Outdoor Summer Camp EMT
Responsibilities: Working with a Registered Nurse or Physician’s Assistant, the EMT is responsible for providing daily health and first aid care to approximately 140 campers and 60 staff. The EMT is also responsible for working with wilderness staff to manage first aid kits. Staff will live on campus. 6 days on, 1 day off per week
Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of current EMT-Basic certification, and, if certified outside of North Carolina, must be able to get reciprocal certification in this state. Wilderness EMT certification is strongly preferred.
Benefits: Competitive salary with one full day off each week. On campus housing, meals in our whole foods dining hall, and access to laundry facilities provided.
Dates: Position is from May 31st to August 13th, 2018. In addition, some positions require attendance at a training clinic. Please see our website, www.enf.org, for clinic dates.
Who We Are: Eagle’s Nest Camp is a coed camp over 90 years old, located in the lush mountains of Western North Carolina. Eagle’s Nest provides a strong, nurturing community where campers ages 6-17 are treated with respect, honor and compassion. Campers have the opportunity to participate in 1-3 week long sessions which emphasize the wilderness, arts, and community. Our mission is experiential education for young people, promoting the natural world and the betterment of human character.
