Other Outdoor Trailheads Crew Member
City of Boulder, CO, Open Space and Mountain Parks, now accepting applications for a Trailhead Crew Member Position:
The City of Boulder is a great place to live, work, grow and play.
With over 300 miles of dedicated bikeways and more than 150 miles of hiking trails, Boulder values active lifestyles and access to nature. Forty-five thousand acres of land provide open space for parks and a green belt around the city. With world class restaurants and art and music venues, The City of Boulder values diverse culture.
This position performs a variety of trailhead maintenance tasks on Open Space and Mountain Parks, such as waste services, parking lot and fence repair, mowing/weed whipping, snow removal, and maintenance of trailhead infrastructure. We use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to complete these tasks. We also work with volunteer and contract crews towards these goals. There is a heavy emphasis on independence and problem-solving, as we work with a small crew often. This workgroup provides a great opportunity to see all OSMP lands, communicate directly with the community, and collaborate with other work groups.
Crew member positions do not need prior experience to be successful. A willingness to learn new skills, work safely with others, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment can be substituted for previous direct experience.
