Job Description
Girl Scouts of Maine has an immediate opening for a talented, dynamic director (year round) for Camp Pondicherry in Bridgton, in Maine’s beautiful Lakes Region, 1 hr north of Portland. This key position directs summer resident and day camp programs, off- season programs and participates in interdepartmental activities to deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Requires passion for girl development and camp along with initiative, energy, creative problem solving and a collaborative orientation, with proven success as a camp leader. Must deliver an excellent camp experience including staff recruitment, training, program development, budgeting, planning, promotion and marketing. Off season base: GSME in South Portland, ME. Summer: private on-site camp housing provided. Frequent in-state travel. Some nights & weekends. Salary starting at $40,000 based on experience. Excellent benefits package. Minimum experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2 years exp. in camping administration, excellent communication skills, supervisory experience. Experience with MS Office Suite; Camp Minder experience a plus.
