This position will focus on volunteer recruitment and management, building connections in the local sober community, and leading activities such as CrossFit and outdoor events. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple technology platforms, program coordination within the nonprofit space, and some development experience. Help grow our robust sober active community in Austin, TX
Support a strong volunteer program, especially through recruitment, training, and mentorship of new volunteers
Build connections in the local recovery community, as well as partnerships with relevant organizations and affinity groups
Facilitate events weekly in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment
Utilize various technology and social media platforms, including Salesforce
Commute regularly for community outreach and work remotely
Complete other duties as assigned
Work evening and weekend hours as needed
Strong community relations skills
Experience coaching, instructing, or leading one or more activities
Background in volunteer recruitment
Organizational and time management skills, as well as adaptability
Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and integrity
Proficiency with technology
Lived experience as a peer in recovery
Background in the arts
Relevant professional or personal connections
Certifications in relevant athletic disciplines (CF-L1, L2, or L3; NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or ACE Personal Trainer; AMGA-CWI, SPI, or Rock Guide; IMBA-L1; YT-200, etc.)
Fluency in two or more languages
