Compensation – We provide onsite housing and meals for your entire summer! Weekly pay rates start at $410/week but increase with additional experience and certifications. Learn more about our compensation and bonus structure here.
We are hiring an Overnight Camp Program Specialist for our Camp Blue Sky Colorado Overnight Camp (Grades 1-5 in Evergreen, CO). In this role you will be leading multiple activities across Camp to provide the best possible experience for our campers. This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to make a lasting impact for hundreds of campers this summer.
In this role you will:
Plan and lead evening events, ceremonies, morning clubs, and dining hall themes.
Plan and execute creative meals and themes in conjunction with kitchen staff; MC mealtime and assist in the cleaning up of the dining hall area.
Create and implement activities to stoke and build community.
Provide support to other Overnight Camp Programs during regular camp programming as an instructor and camper supervisor as needed.
Organize and participate in camp programming, ranging from outdoor sports to camp games and rituals.
Serve as a role model and guide campers by exhibiting appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities.
Follow and educate campers on safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants.
Attend weekly staff meetings.
All other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.
Job Requirements
Minimum 18 years of age by the start of camp training.
By the start of camp training, must have an active CPR and First Aid certification.
1+ years of experience working at a resident camp is strongly preferred.
Truly enjoys working with kids and creating engaging, age appropriate programming.
Work Schedule
Resident camps are a 24/7 operation. The resident camp leadership team will create a schedule that provides you with one evening off/week and segments of other time off throughout the week.
Mandatory training begins May 24 – May 28 (position depending). Programs begin June 11 and run through August 5.
