We are hiring Rock Climbing Specialists at multiple locations including several camps in the Bay Area, Colorado, Portland, and Bellevue/Seattle Washington.

In this role you will

Co-lead groups of up to 13 campers in age and developmentally appropriate instruction with outdoor activities including mountain biking, Leave No Trace principles, and teambuilding.
You may be asked to also instruct paddling and climbing – training provided
Serve as a role model and guide campers by exhibiting appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities.
Follow and educate campers on safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants.
Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs.

Job Requirements

Staff must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to drive camp campers. Drivers receive a 2% pay increase.
Personal and/or professional climbing experience required; must have thorough knowledge of common climbing knots and climb technical skills
+1 years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred
Minimum of Basic First Aid & CPR certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done)
**Our non-driving Camp Instructor positions at all of our camps have been filled. Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the start of camp in order to drive Avid4 Adventure vehicles and campers.**

For California Camp Applicants: Due to California laws, applicants with a CA driver’s license must have a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in order to drive campers in our 15 passenger vans. This restriction does not apply to non-California driver’s license holders.

Work Schedule

Typically Monday – Friday, about 40 hours/week program depending
Training and program dates are location dependent. Colorado training begins as early as May 22 and Seattle training beginning June 18. Programs run through Mid August.
