Role Summary:

Reporting to the company owners, this position will support all employee-related and company-wide operations, ensuring a safe and efficient zip line operation. The candidate will be someone who is self-starting, energetic, and focused who embraces responsibility and challenge. The Course Operations Manager position is a valuable role that helps support our mission of delivering the ultimate guest experience and cultivates a positive employee working culture to promote an environment where employees love coming to work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategically organize and supervise day-to-day operations of the entire facility.
Provide oversight of employees, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, retention, scheduling, training, development, mentoring, disciplinary action, staff performance reviews, and safety
Reconcile and report staff payroll to accounting
Maintain certifications of all adventure guides
Establish and maintain employment and operations policies, procedures, manuals, and associated documentation, while adhering to all Montana employment, documentation, and human resources protocols
Establish and maintain operations and financial reporting systems
Evaluate and respond to areas of risk, managing unique situations appropriately
Maintains all logs, files, reports, communications, and electronic data relating to safety inspections, incidents, maintenance reports, and any other general daily reports
Maintains high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility including towers, check-in areas, platforms, facility grounds, and all surrounding areas
Remain current on all operational needs and provide effective communication with the team
Astute risk management and safety oversight, monitor reservations for appropriate weight and load control
Assist staff in the field as necessary
Conduct staff meetings and allow regular opportunities for staff feedback and suggestions regarding regular operations
Continually ensure all course and equipment inspections are fulfilled and documented, in accordance with industry, regulatory, state, and federal standards
Ensure that all facility areas and equipment are well-maintained and kept secure when not in use
Ability to engage customers and resolve any customer complaints
Budget facility supplies costs by conducting inventory and overseeing ordering process
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old (minimum age)
Must be able to work most weekends and holidays
At least 3+ year experience within the Zipline industry
Degree in sports management, recreation, physical education hospitality-related field a plus
Excellent leadership, sales, and supervisor management skills. Must be innovative and self-motivated
Ability to perform efficiently under pressure and ability to make quick and efficient judgment calls in connection with staff and guests
Must maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor
Communicate effectively and display exemplary guest services and public relations experience
Must be able to complete CPR/AED and First Aid training course
Must be able to complete zip line training programs
Must be drug-free
Must be in good physical condition with no injuries and not weigh over 260 pounds, in accordance with the equipment manufacturer’s weight limits
This position is described as physically demanding performing moderately strenuous daily activities of the customer service and supervisor nature. This position requires working in a fast-paced, professional, and team-oriented work environment. The majority of work is conducted outdoors in climates from 40° to 100° Fahrenheit
Equipment used: Harnesses, Helmets, Rope, Zip Line Trolleys, Carabiners, and other gear
Willing to work in all weather conditions
Compensation DOE, potential growth the year-round position
